Bradford Branch go All In on Cupcake Day

On the 16th June, Cupcake Day was celebrated across the country to raise money and awareness for those suffering from Dementia. The initiative was created by the Alzheimer's Society, who last year raised a mighty £330,000 which was enough to fund 11 PhD researchers to undertake vital, potentially lifesaving work.

The Bradford branch joined Cupcake Day to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. The staff, service users, and the local community joined together to raise £171.00 for the cause. The eleven year old daughter of Synergy carer Dawn Johnson helped bake cupcakes for the day and assisted with the sales to all care staff and the local community.

Dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales. It does not discriminate and currently there is no cure. Due to the nature of the industry we work in and many of our Service Users being affected, we believe that Cupcake Day is a great initiative to support. We would like to thank the Bradford office for their great effort supporting this worthwhile cause.
